Tying is a process of essential importance in meat processing, specifically for products like sausages and salami.
It is an operation done by specific machines and consists in tying solidly the casing which contains filled meat with a food thread. The tying process permits to keep the form and compactness of the filled product so it maintains uniform; moreover it avoids that the product is contaminated until cooking and seasoning.
Borgo 1988, from over 30 years projects and builds automatic and semiautomatic tying machines for sausages, salami and cured meats. Our machines are built totally in stainless steel and designed to work with a wide range of products tied with continuous thread by length or by weight, but they can also tie different types of products.
